This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every customer, user and connected account using WoComment, operated by Cura Spectra B.V. (KvK 94496005). It is part of our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the stricter rule applies.
WoComment hides, deletes and replies to comments on social platforms on your behalf. That is a powerful capability, and this policy sets the boundaries.
1. Your responsibilities
You must:
- Only connect Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts and TikTok ad accounts that you own or are authorised in writing to manage.
- Comply with the terms and policies of every platform you connect, including Meta's Platform Terms, Developer Policies and Community Standards, and TikTok's Advertising Policies, Community Guidelines and developer terms.
- Comply with applicable law, including data protection law (GDPR/UAVG), consumer protection law and advertising law.
- Act as the data controller for the comment data you process through WoComment, including handling data subject requests from commenters.
- Keep your account credentials secure and remove users who no longer need access.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use WoComment to:
Unlawful content and conduct
- Publish, moderate, or generate replies containing content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Facilitate fraud, scams, counterfeit goods, or any activity prohibited by law in the Netherlands, the EU, or your own jurisdiction.
- Process special-category personal data (health, religion, sexual orientation, political opinion, biometrics) deliberately or at scale, or use the Service to profile commenters on those grounds.
Harassment and abuse
- Target, harass, intimidate, or retaliate against individual commenters, employees, competitors, journalists or activists.
- Publish auto-replies that insult, threaten, or dox any person, or that reveal a commenter's personal details.
- Use the AI reply drafts to impersonate a real named individual, a government body, or another business.
Deceptive suppression of lawful consumer complaints
- Configure rules or automations whose purpose is to conceal a genuine, lawful consumer complaint in order to mislead other consumers — for example, systematically hiding every comment reporting a product safety defect, a non-delivery, or a billing problem, in order to present a falsely positive public impression.
- Hide or delete comments in order to obstruct a regulator, a consumer authority, a court order or a legally required disclosure.
- Generate replies that make false claims about a product, a refund entitlement, or a legal right in order to discourage a complaint.
What remains allowed: WoComment is built for legitimate moderation. Hiding or deleting spam, scam links, competitor advertising, off-topic promotion, slurs, threats, doxxing, sexual content, bot floods and repeated abuse from the same account is normal, lawful brand safety and is expressly permitted. Routing genuine complaints to a human, replying to them, or hiding a single abusive comment is also permitted. The line is deception of other consumers, not moderation itself.
Platform and data misuse
- Access, collect, store or export any data beyond the OAuth scopes the platform granted you — no scraping, no crawling, no undocumented endpoints, no circumventing rate limits or platform access controls.
- Use comment data or commenter identifiers for purposes the platform does not permit, such as building marketing lists, ad audiences, or profiles sold to third parties.
- Re-identify, enrich or cross-reference commenters against external datasets.
- Take any action that would cause us or you to breach Meta or TikTok platform policy, including automation volumes that a platform treats as inauthentic behaviour.
Commercial and technical abuse
- Resell, sublicense, white-label or provide the Service to third parties without a written reseller or agency agreement from Cura Spectra B.V..
- Share one subscription across separate, unrelated businesses.
- Circumvent quota limits — for example by creating multiple accounts or trials to split volume, tampering with usage counters, abusing the free trial, or manipulating API calls to avoid metering.
- Probe, scan, penetration-test, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass authentication, tenancy isolation or rate limits without our prior written permission.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to distribute malicious links through replies.
- Interfere with the availability of the Service for other customers.
3. AI-generated replies
AI reply drafts always require human approval before publication. You must not attempt to bypass, script around, or automate away that approval step. You remain fully responsible for the content of any reply you approve, including its accuracy, its legal compliance, and any advertising or health claims it contains.
4. Consequences of breach
Depending on severity, and normally in this order, we may:
- Notify you and ask you to correct the issue within a stated period.
- Restrict features — for example disabling automatic hide/delete or auto-reply while keeping read-only monitoring.
- Suspend the account or a specific connected page.
- Terminate the subscription for cause, without refund of amounts already paid.
- Report the activity to the relevant platform (Meta/TikTok), to law enforcement, or to a supervisory authority, where we are legally required to or where there is a serious risk of harm.
For serious and clear-cut breaches — illegal content, security attacks, harassment campaigns, or conduct that puts our platform access at risk — we may suspend immediately and notify you afterwards.
Suspension does not pause billing. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund; see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Appeals
If your account is restricted, suspended or terminated and you believe the decision is wrong:
- Email support@wocomment.com with the subject line "AUP appeal" within 30 days of the notice.
- Include your account email, the reference number in our notice, and an explanation, with evidence, of why the decision should be reversed or what you have changed.
- We acknowledge appeals within 2 and give a reasoned decision within 10. The review is carried out by someone who was not responsible for the original decision.
- During an appeal we normally preserve your data, and will not delete it before the appeal is decided.
If your appeal succeeds, we restore access and, where the suspension was our error, credit the affected period.
6. Reporting abuse
If you believe a WoComment customer is using the Service in breach of this policy — for example to suppress consumer complaints deceptively, or to harass someone — report it to support@wocomment.com with the Page or account concerned and any evidence. We investigate every credible report.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as platform rules and the law change. Material changes are announced by email and in-app at least 7 days before they take effect.
